Inside the villa

With three bedrooms – named after local islands -  and occasional beds the house can sleep up to 9.  “KIRA“ has a double bed and views over an orchard to the hillside beyond,  “DHORUSSA” a double and one single and views over the pool to the sea, and “ANGISTRI” a double or twin singles, with French doors to the enchanting and flower bedecked inner courtyard and ancient oven.  The sitting room “MONI” has a settee/double, with its own terrace and direct access to the pool, with breathtaking views of 50 miles of the Aegean.  Three air conditioning units serve all rooms. Two travel cots are available on request.

The large KITCHEN/DINING ROOM is very fully equipped with full size electric 4-ring  cooker with oven, microwave/grill, dishwasher,  fridge/freezer and plenty of  pots, pans, utensils, crockery, cutlery, china and glasses, liquidiser, steamer etc..  The extending pine table can seat up to 10 persons.
The original marble sink and kitchen area with French doors to a Juliet balcony make cooking and dining in this space a real joy.

There is one BATHROOM with bath and overhead shower, and one shower room.  Both have W.C. and washbasin.  The bathroom is enhanced by a marble basin and olivewood plinth. Hair dryers are provided.

The GARDEN ROOM, a quiet place to relax in the shade, has a wall of glass doors which open onto the private inner courtyard with tumbling bourganvillea and geraniums beside an ancient washstone..

HOUSEHOLD FACILITIES.  Iremia is equipped to the highest standard with good quality cotton bed linen and towels – swim towels provided.  The mattresses and pillows are high quality with mattress toppers on all beds for greatest comfort.

HOME ENTERTAINMENT. There are DVD and video players with a TV for viewing them; but no public TV-channel reception. There is no internet, but an internet cafe in Methana and Poros towns.

HOUSEKEEPING.  The house and pool will have been fully cleaned with fresh linen for your arrival and the housekeeper will make a midweek visit to clean the house and pool, and change the linen.  There is a full size washing machine and outside drying area

SAFETY – our prime concern. There are smoke alarms and fire extinguishers in the house. Tap water is safe to drink.  There are insect screens on all windows should you wish, and electronic ‘zappers’ are provided.  MEDICAL – a basic First Aid kit is provided.  There is an excellent English speaking Doctor in Methana town, who will even make house calls if required.  There are two pharmacies in Methana town.

Outside the villa

Paved terraces, lined with pots of geraniums, roses, jasmine, honeysuckle hibiscus and many other plants, maintained by automatic watering, and sheltered by a pergola, lead down to the INFINITY POOL. 6.5m X 6.5m and 1.75m at its deepest it is large enough for serious swimming, with the overflow end providing stunning views across the Saronic gulf. The overflow pool can be used for little children and has a wall and removeable ladder for safety and there is also a pool child-safety system with bracelet activated alarm (this is available for a small deposit). The fully automatic salt-conversion filtration system means there is no taste of chlorine and water quality is maintained. There is a freshwater shower.

Adjacent to the pool is the BBQ area with stone charcoal BBQ, table for food preparation and outside fridge and water supply. As no china or glass is allowed ‘poolside’ for safety reasons there is a full complement of high quality of melamine crockery, cutlery, goblets and tumblers for use in this area.

The 5-metre LOGGIA with luxurious seating facing across the pool to the sea and island views, provides the perfect place for complete shaded relaxation, or meals outside, with subtle lighting after night falls. This is enhanced by a dramatic pink marble coffee table.

A vine shaded bower by the ancient bread oven is one of many places to sit and relax in this area.

A number of cushioned sunbeds are provided.

The private two level INNER COURTYARD, accessed from the kitchen, garden room, hall and Angistri bedroom has seating under the shade of a mature almond tree, a dining table, chairs and sunshade on the lower level for outside dining. There is another ancient bread oven and washstone and exquisite flowers tumble from their pots. For young children this courtyard is completely secure and with the main door of the house shut they can run freely from house to courtyard away from the pool.

Prices and Availability

All lettings commence and end on a Saturday.
Lettings commence from 16:00 on the day of arrival.
Please be sure to have vacated the villa by 10:00 a.m. on your day of departure to ensure it can be cleaned and aranged ready for the next guests.

VAT not applicable.

Prices include linen and towels, including pool-side towels.

Your villa will be cleaned each Wednesday during your stay and new linen provided. The Swimming Pool will also be cleaned weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
